About the practice and our name
When searching for the name of the corporation we wanted something that was unique and something that spoke to the intent and philosophy of what we wanted to do for our clients and our mutual contribution to the industry of healthcare. We knew our target group was multi-faceted and synergistic: the new physician, newly formed healthcare provider organization, as well as individuals and groups that were not new but wanted to have greater impact in their market with a greater contribution to their own bottom-line. We decided on the name: Cretus Healthcare Consulting, Inc.. The "Healthcare Consulting" part was a no-brainer as it clearly identified what we do for our community. "Cretus" names what it is we wanted to do for our clients.
The dictionary defines "Cretus" as an intransitive verb meaning: "to come forth, to be; to arise or spring (from); be born; become visible/great." It goes further to define the word as meaning: "to thrive, increase in size and number, to multiply and to attain." That's what we wanted to do for quality, professional and competent healthcare providers. We have always believed that anyone that brings a strong set of skills and an even stronger level of commitment to their profession in a service capacity needs to be helped to be successful. The true benefactor of their and our efforts will be the patient. It's important that any professional that makes a positive contribution to others be able to generate the kind of revenue that would allow them to grow to meet the needs of as many patients as they felt they could effectively impact.
